Ancheto Cafe Sunshine

At last ... a cafe deep in the western 'burbs that has the potential to match it with the best those north of the river (and Yarraville/Seddon) have to offer.  Located in the old Euro Masonic hall in Sunshine, the space is "old skool" hall with retro table, chairs and coffee tables.  It's super spacious and the coffee is fantastic - hallelujah!! I believe they use Sensory Lab beans.

On a kid friendly scale I would give it 3/5 ...there was box of toys and plenty of room for the kids to move around without annoying other diners.  Since Ancheto already seems to be beacon for those with children a small kids menu would be a great addition to the regular menu.

Now, I have to admit we have visited twice, the second visit was not quite as successful as the first with some problems with the food coming from the kitchen.  I won't elaborate as it was not dire, they were very, (VERY!) busy that day.  The owner was very apologetic and genuinely sorry the food was not up to scratch.  They did take $20 off our bill which was not expected but much appreceiated.  We will back soon and we certainly hope Ancheto survives and thrives.

Currently Ancheto is only open on Saturdays from 9am - 2pm but hopefully his will change in the near future. You can find them at 93 Hampshire Rd, Sunshine (across the road from centre.com).

Check out some yummy food pics from our frist Ancehto visit below.

See you soon!
